SELS functions as a logistics and financial control tower within Samsung Europe, with a focused role in logistics & supply chain strategy, innovation and governance. THE POSITION
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer specialized in Logistics Warehouse automation and robotics. Our ideal candidate excels in managing complex supply chain projects, leveraging market expertise and implementing cutting-edge technology solutions.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As Project Engineer - Warehouse Automation, you will:
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and systems inside a newly build warehouse
- Supporting on Automation implementation with key tasks; gather, define, develop/select and implement advanced warehouse automation solutions
- Apply deep knowledge of the robotics automation markets to identify effective, proven concepts and scalable solutions
- Leverage expertise in advanced solutions, incl. ASRS, AMR, AFL, ATL, auto sorting and conveyor systems, etc.)
- Contribute to designing and shaping the "warehouse of the future"
- Will be working with a broad range of consumer electronics product categories, storage and distribution types (finished goods/service parts, parcel/palletized/pallet less)
- Validate automation proposals from Automation Integrators & vendors on effectiveness efficiency and ROI (in coop with local logistics and contracting teams)
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal candidate would fit the following profile:
- Education: Technical degree, preferable a Bachelor/Master in Automation, Industrial Engineering or Mechanics
- Work experience: Automation work experience within Factories and/or Logistics
- Fluent in English & Dutch
- Advanced expertise in automation engineering and implementations
- Comprehensive knowledge of the warehouse automation market (vendors, solutions)
- Strong understanding of proven automation concepts and their practical applications
- Good knowledge of WMS, WCS and SAP, including a solid understanding of how these systems link and integrate with automation
